"Your Product Activation Key Reached Its Activation Limit..."

Hi,

I am facing similar problems as the previous posters and couldn't find any other solutions by googling so...

I just upgraded to a new 2017 MBP as my computer died and I'm getting the following error when re-installing parallels:

After installing Parallels 11 on my new MBP: I chose to sign out of Parallels on my old MBP (couldn't deactivate from the previous computer, as it's not working anymore), with clicking "Activate on this Mac". Then I get a message that says "Unable to confirm the product license. You have reached the maximum number of activations...".

Command line trick didn't do anything either, message I got says:
Failed to activate the license: Unable to confirm the product license. Please activate the product first.

Could someone please help me get me license reset?
We have made necessary changes, try to activate again.

I found the following quote from KB 116527 article while working on the problem in my post #715 just a few posts above in this thread.
I think this works on PD 10 and later.

Please note that when you move Parallels Desktop to another computer, the registration of your activation key remains the same. After you start Parallels Desktop it will prompt you to register your key or log in to your existing Parallels account. Select log in to an existing account, enter the login information for your account with the registered key.
Yes, you are right and glad to see that you have shared it here to help others.

I'm having the same issue as others.
I'm moving to a new MacBookPro-Touch and the licence will not activate.

Code:
Unable to confirm the product license.
You have reached the maximum number of activations available for your activation key (http://www.parallels.com/eula). Please purchase a new product license.
There are no firewalls and I have signed out of my old MacBook.
(If I try and sign back in to my old MacBookPro, it works just fine)
Please help
Thanks

I am now getting this as well after having to reinstall my OS after a fatal crash and HD replacement. I'm really shocked that this is the case with Parallels. I've been a customer of yours for years, but I'm now going to start looking at other alternatives. You need to resolve this issue so we do not have to come to a forum and beg for help. There should be a way to clear licenses and computers much like iTunes does, since people upgrade computers all the time.

So if someone could please reach out to me and check my account I'd like my Parallels 10 license reset so I can use it please.

Thanks!
Jeff

same problem.
I received the following message in live chat.
"Your activation key for Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac was reset and can be used for activating Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac in your new Mac."
But still can't install for new Macbook.

We've reset your key, please check.

Please help....I cannot activate the license on my new Mac because of "reach limit" issue even I have signed out and deleted from the old Mac.

Hi, I have the same problem with moving my Parallels Desktop 10 license to my new Mac - how do I deactivate the license on the old computer?

Hi, I'm having the same issue with doing a clean install of Parallels Desktop 11. I had to enter activation keys for both the 11 upgrade and the full version of Parallels Desktop 10, and got the "maximum limit" message. I'm trying to move from a macbook pro to an imac. Please advise. Thanks.

I just tried to move PD 10 according to the instructions in your knowledge base article 116527. When I tried to activate on a new machine, I got the "Maximum Limit" message. Please reset so I can activate on my new machine.
Thank You
