At this point I'm trying to create any Mac guest VM using parallels...
Using these instructions, I've downloaded the Ventura installer, and used that to create a Ventura ISO.
Parallels crashes when I try to create a VM from the ISO. You get:
prl_macvm_app quit unexpectedly
The knowledge base article on this suggests a reboot (tried) and unload/reload the startup item (tried). So that is a dead end.
So then I tried following Parallels own instructions on how to create a Ventura VM. I have to use the manual option because the Apple button has gone away from the control panel.
This too fails at the following step:
/Applications/Parallels\ Desktop.app/Contents/MacOS/prl_macvm_create /Users/paul/Downloads/UniversalMac_13.2.1_22D68_Restore.ipsw ~/Parallels/macOS2.macvm --disksize 80000000000
What happens is exactly... nothing. The command just immediately returns. Nothing is created and there are no error messages.
What am I doing wrong??!
