Hello LeonW1. Please quit Parallels Desktop now. Then, open Terminal (from the Finder menu, navigate to Go -> Utilities -> Terminal), execute the command <><> prlsrvctl activate-license-online <><> inside the Terminal window, wait till the operation completes, close Terminal and re-attempt the activation.

thanks it has now been activated.
however it's not very user friendly and I would suppose that lot's of customers will be tricked into purchasing a new licence rather than coming to this forum... risky corporate practice... :/

My old Mac bit the dust and when I restored my backup to a new Mac I got the "You have reached the maximum number of activations available for your activation key" message. This would be the third activation (I had to replace the logic board on my old one a while back). Can you reset the activation key to allow me to activate it on my new Mac?

Hi, I am migrating Parallels 11 to a new mac and having the 'activation key has reached it's limit' issue. I don't appear to have a way to unregister the old macbook.
    Please assist.
