Ubuntu 20.04 Parallels login?

I am having problems with the initial sign-in for my ubuntu 20.4 vm
I loads up fine and then defaults to a login page for the user 'parallels'
I have researched the forum and found historic mentions of this problem where it is suggested that the pw is also parallels.
I have tried this and variations with capital P and other basic pw options but none work.

Can anybody explain how to get past this annoying issue?
 
The password IS 'parallels' but it asks you to change password immediately afterwords, leading you to think the password is incorrect if you don't pay attention carefully!

Is there a solution to this? I have the same problem!

I also have this problem. I try parallels as the password, but after a few tries I get locked out.
 
Hello everyone, I have just found out the password, the password is the same as your macOS username, if your name is John Doe your password would be "JohnDoe"
