toolbox unable to create gif

i first create a video from Record Screen → Record Area then I use that video to create a gif. the gif then always fails. any ideas why this is not working?

Hello,

check if recorded video is playable at all using Quick Time or VLC media player.

If yes, then convert it using "Convert Video" tool from Parallels Toolbox. It will create same video but using different codec. And then try to create gif from this converted video.

I have the same issue and even after using Convert Video it doesn't help.
Strange because it worked for 5 videos and now it is not.

Are you running the latest Parallels Toolbox version?

Yes, I'm running the latest version (5.1.0 (4185)).
I tried to record the screen but it seems that macOS turns off notifications during screen recording.
I made a screenshot of the moment where I get the "Failed to create GIF" message.
