Parallels 20 causes major functions of ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2024 to fail

I upgraded to Parallels 20 yesterday and immediately could not perform batch resize or batch rename basic functions on ACDSee 2024 for Windows running in a Win11 VM on a MacOS 14 machine.
I confirmed the fault by installing Parallels 19 again ... everything back working normally.

Looks like something to do with permissions not allowing ACDSee to write changes to the files it's pointed at.

Hopefully this will be addressed in the next Parallels update.
 
I'm having issues with opening photo editors on the Mac side from within iMatch on a Win 10 VM (they don't open.) I had thought that the problem may have been Sequoia, but I can confirm the problem is Parallels 20 (no problems with Version 19 in Sonoma or Sequoia.)

I am also now seeing graphics issues with 20.1 (which didn't fix my initial problem) so even though I'm not using ACDSee and can't comment directly on that, for me 20.1 is worse as I now have 2 problems (graphics issues and apps not opening.)

Thankfully I have a backup and can stick with version 19 for now.
 
Parallels 20 may cause ACDSee Photo Studio Ultimate 2024 functions to fail due to compatibility issues, resource allocation problems, or outdated drivers. Ensure your Parallels and macOS are updated, and allocate sufficient resources (CPU/RAM) to improve performance and stability

Thanks AskT for the reply but this is not the issue.
Ensure my Parallels is updated??? ... what does that mean? ... we're talking about Parallels 20 not working with ACDSee 2024 ... that's the whole reason for going back to Paralllels 19 ... indeed the whole point of this thread!
My MacOS is updated and there are sufficient resources.

Anyone from Parallels care to comment on this problem?

I have the same problem; impossible to rename files in ACDSee photo studio ultimate 2025 (nor in 2024). On iMac 17,1 quadcore Intel I5; windows 11 and Parallels Desktop 20 for Mac

The current w/a is to use Parallels Desktop 19.4.1 which can be downloaded from this link.
