Endless Windows Updating underway

I decided to have Windows update on Parallels, but it has been stuck on the updating screen for several hours or at least half a day. I kept my computer screen on for a while, but that didn't work. I also tried closing and reopening Parallels, but that didn't work either. What should I do?

 

Do you do backups? If you do I would delete the misbehaving VM and copy the VM from the backup disk got your Shared > Parallels folder, open it, and try the backup again.
One general comment about updates -- Independent of whether Windows suggest a Restart, I always check in the Settings > Windows Updates window before I do the Restart to assure that the download is completed. Sometimes (bizzarely) it is not.

 

I'm having the exact same problem, and it only started happening for me yesterday as well. If it has happened to multiple people, maybe it's a bug? I even updated my mac to make sure that wasn't the problem. I've reinstalled the program and it's still stuck at 97% complete. Hopefully someone can advise
