I don't have IDE (I Die Easily) either (not that I particularly miss having it). SATA seems to be the default HD type option. Incidentally, I run Parallels and the Canary version on a Mac Studio and have had no problem updating THIS MS version. We won't talk about the problems with a prior set of 3 updates that gave the same problem you are having now.I believe that NigelH1 was referring to how IDE isn't always an option in Parallels for the hard disk. For example, I don't have it. I just have SATA port options. This is on an M1 MBA. I'm just clarifying because I'm also looking for a solution to this issue. Thanks!
When I did a "Check for Updates" it showed the June 11 update, and the prior one that could not be installed went away.My Windows instance still wants to retry the faulty update. How do I get rid of that?
