Why is the tool "Hide Menu Icons" capturing my screen?

Please note that the Hide menu icons feature requires the screen capture mechanism to work. This is by design and cannot be disabled as it would impact functionality.

I dont understand why this function would require screen recording in the first place. Why is it designed so? And for future update please make it so that it does not require screen recording. I think I speak for most users when I say the screen recording aspect makes the function uncomfortable to use.

This is utterly unacceptable. I have now disabled this tool and the parallels tools in general as I have just lost all trust in this company for this surrepticious screen capturing. The harm you have just done to your business by sneaking in automated screen capturing behind the scenes is unbelievable.
