I recently installed a trial of Parallels 15 on my 16" MBPro, connected to internet with a dock and Ethernet cable, but wifi works too. I installed Windows XP from an iso, no problems there as far as I can tell.
However, I have extremely limited and selective internet access under XP. I can't activate XP, and the one program I need to run has no internet access, necessary to activate it.
However, Windows Update successfully downloaded 130+ security updates. Internet Explorer can access google.com and run searches, but nothing else at all. I've googled for similar issues, played with Network settings. If I can't get this to run, it's not worth it to me to pay for Parallels, and I'd REALLY like to get this to run.
My XP IP address does start with 10, so that's not a problem.
When I look at "My Network Places" there's nothing there but Dropbox.
Here's a diagnostic, and then I need help/suggestions.
