Hello all,
Hope someone can help. I was able to do this for some time before I made some changes.
Here is the scenario and what happened:
Open a word document from Windows with Mac Word 2004. File associations are correct, Mac Word 2004 opens up except I get a popbox saying "Convert file from" with a list of filetypes, none of which are Word documents. THey are "text only, ms-dos text, rtf, hml, web archive, unicode text, appleworks 5&6, ms excel 3.x, ms excel 4.x, ms excel 97-2004, ms excel for windows, recover text from any file."
If I save the word doc to the mac hd and then open it works - no problem.
So here is scenario:
Windows XP
Parallals build 5584 (version 3)
macBook pro
MS Windows 2004 (updated to most current patch)
This used to work. What happened was that my boss gave me Office 2008 so I upgraded. Problem was that I could not copy/paste form word into Dreamweaver, something I do on a regular basis - so I removed office 2008 and then reinstalled office 2004 on Mac. Now this.
Anyone else experience this peculiar problem? Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks,
David
