Windows XP Installation Failure

Three weeks ago I switched over from a PC to an IMAC. I purchased Parallels for Mac at the apple store in order to continue running Quicken for Windows. While loading a purchased copy of Windows XP SP2 Home edition, I got a Fatal Error Message.

"An error has been encountered that prevents Setup from continuing. One of the components that Windows needs to continue setup could not be installed. Manifest Parse Error: An invalid character was found in text content."

Any suggestions to fix this problem would be appreciated
 
Sounds like the media your installing from has an error on it. Try making an image of the CD and install from that. Maybe it's just a read error.
