I'm running 5.0.9310, which I'm told is the latest release and it's still a problem that only resolves itself if I disable the automatic adjustment for DST.

    Craig,

I'm sorry but the fix was not included in 9310 build. You need use workaround awhile.

Running fine here... I've turned clock sync back on with 9310 and Live Mail is running fine.

Turned Off DST, Turned On DST--Now OK

This problem was driving me nuts with a brand new installation of Win7 Home Premium and running Parallels 5.0.9310. Of course I, too, wanted to blame Microsoft for the problem. Anyway, I turned off DST, finally opened Live Mail (after uninstalling and reinstalling twice), set up an account and it worked fine, and closed Live Mail. Went back and turned on DST, and re-opened Live Mail and everything seems to be working OK.

    I Spoke Too Soon...

Turning DST back on caused the error message to reappear. I've now turned it off and will leave it off.

I have turned off automatic DST and WLM will then open and run fine. Unfortunately once I close WLM, DST reverts back to the old setting. In other words, DST will not retain the off setting. Any ideas?

    Can't replicate your problem, unless...

In the Change date and time settings... box, you clicked on the Change time zone... button, and then unchecked the Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time... box, but did you then be sure to click the OK button and not simply click the X to close that window? If you don't click OK, it won't save your unchecking the box action. Just have to ask, because that's the only way I can make it not save the change.

    Wbeast,

I wish is was that simple. I click Apply and then OK but it won't retain that setting for more than a minute or two before it reverts back to the old setting. The old setting is crazy too because it says Lima, Peru. I have no idea where Windows came up with that as it was not set to that on the PC that was migrated to the Mac.

Okay, the only way I could get WLM to work was to abandon Build 9308 altogether and go back to 9220. I tried the DST fix but for some reason in my case Windows XP would not retain the changed DST setting even though I made sure to click Apply & OK. Getting back to Build 9220 took a lot of uninstalling and reinstalling. What a royal pain but at least I have WLM functional again.
