windows 7 64bit runs very slow on MBP

Windows 7 64bit makes everything (Mac & Windows) run very slow on my MBP. It takes around 12 to 15 sec. to open IE9 or Safari 5.1. Then when I scroll on the trackpad I get the spinning beach ball for a few seconds then it jumps to the spot I scrolled to. Everything opens so slow I can't stand to use it so I use my XP Pro instead.
My set up on my 2011 MBP in Parallels 6 are:
4GB of ram split 2GB each. Other settings are "Faster Mac" "Tune Windows for Speed" Aero is off, Video 128mb.
Any suggestions please?

I had similar problems and set only 1GB of ram rather than 2GB to Windows and it has been working much better.
