Hi, please perform the below steps and update us:-
1. Reinstall Parallels Tools by following this KB article.
2. Please check if Parallels Desktop has full access on Mac by following this KB article.
 
Created an account to post on here to say I also have this issue.
I purchased an M1 MBP and without doing much research found out Metatrader 4 does not work on it nor does it work through Parallels.
It just doesn't open up after double clicking on the icon. MT5 works, but most brokers still only use MT4.
Hoping there can be a workaround with this in the near future.

Hi, kindly check with MT4 support if it is compatible to run on M1 Mac.
