Windows 10 hanging on update

I am running Parallels desktop for Mac, version 20.0.1.

My Windows 10 started an automatic update. After over 24 hours, I am still looking at little white dots moving in a small circle (indicating the upgrade) in a black window. I have tried Actions-reset, and actions restart. Each time it returns to the update.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
 
My computer hung, giving me the beachball of death during the Windows upgrade. I had to manually reboot. I suspect that is why it is permanently hung now.

I upgraded Parallels shortly before (within a day or two) this happened. Is it possible that there is a bug in Parallels Desktop?
