Window Recording of Chrome doesn't show drop-down menus

I am trying to do a window recording using the window record and it isn't showing the contents of the dropdown controls on the screen. It just shows the value after it's been clicked on. It basically looks like I'm clicking on nothing and then a value appears. If I do a screen recording it does show the dropdown menu contents. Any idea how to get the window record to work with dropdown menus so I don't have to record the entire desktop?

Yes, "Record Window" tool has such issue. It can consider drop downs or child windows as another window and sometimes doesn't record it. In your case it is better to use "Record Area" or "Record Screen" tools - these tools record all windows.
