Hi,
I'm new to these forums & to Parallels, so apologies in advance if I'm asking about something that's been covered before
I've installed Parallels onto my new MacBook (2GHz with 2GB RAM installed). The software works ok, however whenever I try to install Windows XP Home, the Mac has a Kernal Panic. This doesn't happen right away, as the installation goes ok up till Windows installer saying that it's registering components (approx 14 mins to complete install). Also worth noting that the Windows install slows to a crawl when it reaches the '26 mins left to install' point.
I'm using a genuine copy of Windows XP that I just bought, so the software should be ok - is there anything else that I could be doing wrong ? Note that I've created a VM using all the default XP settings except that I've allocated 512MB RAM to the VM.
Any help appreciated !
Cheers,
