Why does Windows XP got no Metal Acceleration?

I tryed gaming on XP, but i got no AGP Texture Acceleration.

Can somebody help me? I only got 4 GB of RAM.

I compared xp with vista and i see.
Vista Got AGP Texture Acceleration and runs way faster than XP. What is the reason?
