Where is Image Tool

Hello!

Today I installed Parallels 8 (Build 8.0.18314).
I can not find any Image Tool there. Where is it?
I have disk images in and older format and Parallels 8 is not able to use this images.
When I try to use this images (add it as virtual disk) I get a message that the disks are defective. I also get a message that the discs have to be converted which fails immediately.
I can mount this discs with image mounter.
I use this images in a virtual box machine which works fine. When I try to open this machine with Parallels I also get the offer to convert this machine but this fails as well with a message that this machine is not stopped, which for sure isn't right.
Any Idea?

Hi

Parallels Image Tool is not a part of Parallels Desktop anymore.
I will try to find workaround for the issue with conversion from old disk format.

Thanks for the report!

Willi Wichtig, could you please create a problem report (Help -> Report a problem in Parallels Desktop menu) and describe how hdd file was created ?

Parallels Image Tool was integrated with Parallels Desktop VM configuration wizard. Also prl_disk_tool (command line tool) is available from Terminal.

As result:
1) functionality was not dropped, it was moved to VM config editor
2) disk management is available for scripts via prl_disk_tool
