Where is Coherence?

I installed Parallels 17 a couple of days ago, a happy experience. It downloaded and set up windows just fine. However, now I want to use it in coherence mode. Looking at page 42 of this document:

there should be a blue coherence button at the upper left corner of the window and it simply isn't there. Nor is there such an option in the view menu.

Is this a feature that is missing from the trial version?

Hello, are you unable to open Coherence mode?
What is your Parallels Desktop version? Did you install it from the AppStore?
 
About Parallels Desktop says "App Store edition version 1.7.0 (23447)"
Running on macOS Catalina version 10.15.7
 
Coherence mode not available with Mac Standard Edition. Toolbox has been installed. Running on BigSur 11.6 Can you please advise?
