What's New/What's Fixed in RC2 (comments)

Parallels.app ... I am never able to run anything.

I've tried Uninstalling, reboot, reinstalling in all the combinations possible (Almost) and nothing happens.
 
alt-key still doesn't work

I'm using fedora core 5 and a German Windows USB Keyboard.
The alt(gr)-key still doesn't work, so I'm unable to type [, ], {, }, | ...
I really need these keys because I would like to develop with fedora!!!
Any hints or workarounds?

Where is the .pvs file located? I've already nuked everything related to Parallels and cannot find anything with the pvs extension.

The best solution here is to map ctrl+alt to be treated as altgr in your guest operating system configuration (X11?). This is a default behaviour on many distros, just like on Windows.

How do I do that? I'm using KDE (X11). I google but didn't find an answer.

Does crash occur after "Power On" in Parallels?
Or after simple application running? Do you see Parallels window before crash?
 
Still can't get Edirol UM-1 USB Midi interface driver to install. Parallels recognizes the device and starts the install process but then fails. I've tried turning off Vt-x. Doesn't help. This works fine in Bootcamp on the same hardware.

Also, don't see any change in wireless networking from the last release. Still takes 30 seconds on boot to find a DHCP IP address. If I enter them manually, then connection time is immediate.

I don't have anything in ~/Library/Parallels because I erased any Parallels leftover after installation.

I am not able to see the Application at all. It crashes right away, after starting it.

Try to zap it over again with AppZapper, reboot, redownload it and reinstall it.

Sometimes, trying to do the whole workflow again, fixes problems :)
 
Cannot mount RC2 disk image

I am having problems downloading the RC2 disk image. I have tried multiple times and the .dmg file fails to mount. The specific message I get if I try to open it with Disk Utility is "not recognized".

I have seen a few other posts with people having the same problem, but they seem to be getting buried with other issues so I thought I would post here.
 
Same problem here, I've tried to download about 5 times now. I'm always very impatient with these things. 5.3mb of the current download complete, 13 minutes remaining....
