i have downloaded and installed 1896.2 and it is working fairly well. However, i am missing some menu items that were in previous versions, like for installing applications under the different bottles. also when I install the parallels tools I only get two: clipboard and time synchronization.
can someone tell me if this correct?????

Are you confusing Parallels with Crossover?

I wouldn't make this a sticky until the latest version works better in more Mac Pros. My 2 cents.
 
My thought for making it a sticky is that it seems to work better than most earlier versions, for many. Those using older versions, having a Mac Pro or other models, and wanting to get the "latest" have a hard time finding the link. Also, knowing the latest version of Parallels, as of a certain date, is useful, IMO.

Why are these link details not announced b the Parallels team and made public? It seemed rather difficult to find the link - I just happened to notice people were talking about a newer version.
 
Will 1896.2 works without modifying the USBCDC?

I've modified IOUSBFamily inorder for my p990i and k800i to work with Parallels Desktop, my version 1884.

If i install 1896.2 over my version, wil i still be able to connect my phones thru my USB without any problems?

Parallels team, have you already fixed the USB problem in this version?
