Upgrade to Version 14 for free?

Hello, I am a longtime user of Parallels for Mac. The last upgrade that I have paid for was V.13. Recently I have received an email from Parallels stating that I could upgrade to V.14 for free ("Download your Free Upgrade").
Before I install it I want to make sure it really is a free upgrade for me. Is that so?

Yes. When I saw that I suspected that the download was free, but that using it past a trial period was not free so I did not bother.

They really ought to be clearer about that.
