upgrade PD7 to PD8, Windows activation required?

hello,

I bought a copy of Parallels Desktop 8 which I'm planning to install later today. I am running a PD 7 virtual machine. Has the virtualised hardware changed so much between PD 7 and PD 8 that Windows wants to be activated again?
