Upgrade from Parallels Version 6 after updating from Snow Leopard to Mavericks

Hi there,
I upgraded from Snow Leopard to Mavericks, during the upgrade it detected that my Parallels 6 desktop was not compatible with Mavericks and archived it off.
What are my options from here, I understand I can't upgrade from 6 but need a new Parallels 10 licence. Will the new Parallels 10 install detect my existing virtual machines and upgrade those?

Hi Phil.

Yes your existing Virtual Machine (which was used in version 6) will be detected and will work in Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.

Please make sure that the .pvm file is available in your Mac : http://kb.parallels.com/117333
