Updating Ventura 13.5.2 VM to 13.6 corrupts the VM

As indicated in the title: I use Parallels under Ventura 13.6 with a VM of 13.5.2. When updating to 13.6, after the reboot, the VM hangs whiel displaying the following error message:

The bug is reproducible (tried already 3 times every time with a fresh copy of 13.5.2). Any workaround known?

In order to proceed with further investigation, kindly provide us with the below information:
1. Reproduce the issue.
2. Collect a technical report (right-click Parallels icon in Dock > Help > Send technical data > check "Attach screenshots..." > press Send Report) and send the report's 9-digit ID in a reply.

The exact same thing happens while trying to update to 14.0 Sonoma.
