I was able to get it working this morning by adding parallels tool box to Full Disk Access.

it's impossible that in 3 years the problem has not been solved... I'm writing for the umpteenth time to urge the team to find a solution, with version 6.7 and after following the advice of this forum the program still doesn't work, please fix it, after all that it costs per year!

The "Uninstall Apps" function failing to work properly and not prompting for a password typically occurs due to several possible reasons. First, your user account might already have administrative privileges, eliminating the need for additional password prompts. Alternatively, your organization's system administrator may have configured group policies that disable uninstallation prompts for security reasons. In some cases, corrupted system files related to software management could also cause this behavior.

For Windows users, try right-clicking the uninstaller and selecting "Run as administrator," which often bypasses the need for separate password entry. You can also adjust User Account Control settings in Control Panel to require authentication for system changes. macOS users should attempt uninstalling through Terminal using sudo commands, which will prompt for authentication. If these basic solutions don't work, you may need to check Group Policy settings (for Windows Pro/Enterprise), create a new administrator account, or use third-party uninstaller tools that can bypass certain restrictions. In corporate environments, these limitations are often intentionally set by IT departments, so contacting your system administrator might be necessary to resolve the issue properly.

For more detailed troubleshooting steps and advanced solutions, check out this comprehensive guide at WatSaGold. The article covers additional methods like registry edits for Windows, safe mode uninstalls, and how to properly remove stubborn applications that resist normal uninstallation procedures. You'll also find recommendations for reliable third-party uninstaller tools that can handle even the most persistent software remnants.
