Unable to download audio and video from youtube

Same problem. Safari 18.6, OS Ventura 13.7.8 on an Intel MacBook Pro 2017. The download starts then stop at 10.5 Megs.
 
Same. Has been the case for over a week now. Progress bar just sits there at zero progress until I get frustrated and cancel it. MacbookPro, Tahoe 26.3, Firefox 155.0

Looking at the forum, THIS APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN HAPPENING ON AND OFF FOR A YEAR NOW. They better fix this or I'm dumping my subscription.
 
Updated my MacOS / Safari to the latest version (Tahoe).
Consulted with AI, they suggest that yt-dlp needs to be updated inside the Parallels Toolbox - if that's true, I hope that will be done. The issue has been for quite a long time already
 
Parallels Tools downloads has been broken since around August 11 and users are still reporting that Download Audio and Download Video are failing on YouTube. Audio sits at 0 KB, downloads hang, and in some cases Toolbox crashes.

This is a paid feature and it is still being advertised as part of Toolbox. At this point, users deserve a clear status update from Parallels: Is the development team actively working on this specific issue, and is there an estimated fix?

Reinstalling and retrying are not solutions when multiple users are experiencing the same failure. Please acknowledge the current problem and provide an update.

The same here, new MacBook M5, new MacOs, new Parallels Tool box and no Youtube download possible. Download stucks with the opening of the process bar at 0% and thats it. Please find a new workaround, soon!
