Ubuntu 14.04 LTS default password

I installed Ubuntu through the Parallels Wizard. The log in screen comes up. Prior to that I did nothing. I'm not able to log in and a search on the Parallels forums and the internet has turned up nothing that helps.

The login screen shows two possible logins: "Parallels" and "Guest Session". For "Parallels" if I try a random password, the login screen remains and I can immediately try another password. If I use my Mac login, the login prompt disappears for a second or so and then returns to the login screen.

Any ideas?

I had the same issue.
I solved the problem when I understood the keyboard on Ubuntu was in "Querty" while my Mac keyboard was an "Azerty".
If you have some numbers or "A" letters in your password, try to put the "Querty" letter on your keyboard...
