System Monitor still doesn't report CPU temperatures

There is another thread about a year old and seemingly now idle about this issue. That alone tells you long this problem has existed.
I have Parallels 26.4.0 Pro Edition on my MacBook Air M5. For over a year, System Monitor in the toolbox has failed to report CPU temps, going back to the Apple Silicon M4 (and maybe further). Through multiple updates to Parallels and the toolbox, the problem persists.

Is there any sight of a solution to this?
