SQL Server Update to Install on Windows for Arm

Yeah I think that will be my next attempt - just trying to get my head around Docker when I've had the luxury of running SQL Server within a Parallels VM for all these years.

I've created a script that can install SQL Server Express 2019 and 2022 in Parallels on M1. You can download it here: https://github.com/jimm98y/MSSQLEXPRESS-M1-Install. Just run the bat file and wait until it completes.

Thank you so much for this! I couldn't get it to work with the .bat file, but I ran the .exe installer and it worked perfectly!

I tried your skript and it worked very well on my M2 Macbook Air. But What I did not get to work is more than one instance.
I need an instance like MYSQLSRV\MYINSTANCE1 and a second one MYSQLSRV\MYINSTANCE2
I tried to run the scrikt twice, but could never get the second instance running. Dou you have any Idea?

Microsoft has just released Public Preview of SQL Server 2025: https://info.microsoft.com/ww-landing-sql-server-2025.html.
Based on our tests, it can be installed in Windows on Arm without any issues.

I just downloaded and it is still an SQL2022 and unfortunately I cannot install a running instance.
