I want to be able to start a Windows application such as Word by double clicking on the .doc icon in the Finder without having to share the Home folder.
I've enabled "Share Windows applications to Mac" and checked that the file associations are correct. I also added a user-defined shared folder which sits somewhere in my Home. The "My Documents" folder in Windows is mapped to this shared folder.
Basically, I don't want to have to share the whole Home folder to Windows, only that particular user-defined folder, but still be able to open the files in it with Word in Windows... (Note that everything works as expected if I share the whole Home folder)
Are there any tricks available, such as editing a pList somewhere or some options to set to allow for this to happen? If not, can I suggest that this should be a nice option to add?
Thanks
