Security updates for Spectre and Meltdown

Hi,
Is the Mac OS security update is enough to cover the Intel Chip Meltdown and Spectre security problems on a virtual PC with Parallels Desktop?
Apparently there is an update for virtual PC under VMware. Is there an update required for Parallels Desktop too?

I don't think so if you look at the patches VMWARE and other VM developers have applied to their products.
But don't expect any answer from Parallels - there is just silence. No professional behavior for a developer of an infrastructure product!
