"Run as Administrator" Not available in Win 8.1 VM

I need to run a driver install program and it says I need to run as administrator, even though my account IS an admin account. When right-clicking on the program, the normal "Run as Administrator" option isn't there! When looking at the compatibility properties, the Settings property to "Run as Administrator" is grayed out. Help!
