My plan is to use my MacBook Pro 14" for software engineering. I want to be able to work on Windows and Mac. Typically for Windows many would recommend to have at least 16GB of ram to run smoothly. I am using it primarily for running VS Code and Visual Studio. Will 18GB be even enough or do I need to go up to 24GB and assign 16GB to Windows and 8GB remaining for macOS? I am deciding between a M3 24GB machine and a M3 Pro 18GB machine. Which would be your pick?
