PVM files showing up as folders on NAS

I run Parallels on a Mac but I have backed up the PVM file to my Synology NAS. When I log onto the NAS to review my files, the PVM file now appears to be a folder. Is this normal? I want to make sure that I can recover from this PVM bundle in case something bad happens to my Mac.

Is the PVM bundle a "real" file or is it some magic folder?

what is your PVM folder size? Could you click on "show package content" and share the screenshot of it with us please?
