Problem Installing USB-Serial Adapter

Hi! New user of both Mac and Parallels, love the MB Pro retina a lot so far. I do have to run some of my telescope control software through a serial port. I use the Keyspan USA 49WG. I get an error message when installing the driver. I am on Win 8.1. Any troubleshooting suggestions?

Please make sure the Parallels Tools are installed in your Windows 8.1 Virtual Machine.

Manoj, the Tools are installed but didn't make a difference. I found out from the maker of the adapter, Keyspan, that their product has problems running in a VM. I got a GEARM adapter based on the FTDI chipset and it works right out of the box. Problem solved!
