Paralles Tools will not complete installation in WIN 7

I have upgraded to build 9370. I have two VM's on MacBook Pro running Snow Leopard, 8 GB RAM. Parallels Tools installed successfully on Windows XP VM, but it will not install on Windows 7 VM. I have tried every suggestion from Parallels E-mail support folks, but no joy. Every time I start Win 7 VM, Parallels Tools tries to install. Message bar at bottom of VM reads "Parallels Tools are uptdated. Wait for automatic upgrade to complete or upgrade manually."
 
I am having same problem on windows xp

Parallels tools fails to finish installing it just hangs at the very end. I am using build 9370, bridged networking, windows xp service pack 3.
By looking at the log it seems to fail at the point where it is setting the prl_eth5 registry entry. Maybe our corporate mcaffee policy is stopping the modification of the registry. I have been using this vm and parallels tools for ages now with no real issues.

Just try to uninstall Parallels Tools using Programs and Features control panel in Windows first, then reinstall it using Virtual Machine menu.

Prior removing through the control panel, I set a restore point. I then removed Parallels tools through the control panel. Following that, the VM restarted and the desktop was blank except for the recycle bin icon. A windows error popped up with the following message:

"Network error - windows cannot access \\.psf\home\desktop"

I performed a system restore to correct the problem. However, the Parallels Tools error (keeps on installing when the VM is started) is back. And, the message on the bottom of the VM window is "Parallels Tools is outdated. Wait for automatic upgrade to complete or upgrade manually."
 
Please ignore any errors. Deinstall Parallels Tools and reinstall it once again.

AND in Windows XP

I updated to Parallels 5 Build 9370. (Did have Parallels 5 working fine beforehand--and loving it.)
MacBook Pro--Snow Leopard--Windows XP
When I did an install (or re-install?) of Parallels Tools, I got the message "Failed to uninstall Parallels Memdev Driver" and a bit later "An error occurred while installing Parallels Tools. Click OK to restart your virtual machine, and then try to install Parallels Tools again." I tried that and got the same messages. I tried to uninstall Parallels Tools through Windows XP Add/Remove and got the same messages.

PLUS now my Windows screen is a tiny little box, which is useless.

Suggestions?
