Parallels uses 40% cpu with Outlook

VMWare on the same system uses 2%. I way prefer Parallels, but this is killing my battery. I'm on 10.5.3, with build 5600. Ideas?

Do you mean with the same Outlook settings VmWare uses only 2 % of CPU?

That's funny because one of the reasons I quit using Outlook (2003) in Win XP Pro was that it used up to 100% CPU and was a royal pain in the proverbial.

I shall watch this thread with interest.

It turns out that VMWare consumes CPU cycles that aren't shown as a running process. So the real CPU consumption is shown by the graphical chart, but not by the running processes. Visually, it looks like VMWare is just as CPU heavy.
