Parallels switched to Desktop-Mode automatically…. Why?

Hey there,

I'm new here and I have a question. When I installed Parallels with my version of windows 7 two weeks ago, I decided to install the windows-only option. Today when I opened windows again, I was surprised to see that it has now switched to the desktop-view (with the start-button in the left corner, I hope you know what I mean).

Why did that happen? All I did was sign up, because my trail was over.

Hi Alexander,

As of I understood from your message, you were using Windows in Coherence mode which visually integrates your Windows VM and Mac OS.

- Follow the steps as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4670 to switch back to Coherence mode.
- To start the VM in Coherence mode always Go to VM configure ( http://kb.parallels.com/117287 ) -> Options -> Startup and Shutdown -> Startup View -> select Coherence from the drop down list.
