Parallels RAS counts direct RDP users as licensed users - mixed environment possible?

Hello everyone,

I am currently evaluating Parallels RAS and have a question regarding licensing in a mixed environment.

Our setup is quite simple:
•Most users connect directly via standard Microsoft Remote Desktop (mstsc.exe).
•Only a small group of users should access the environment through Parallels RAS Client.
•The server is configured as an RD Session Host in the RAS farm.

What I am seeing is that users who connect directly via native RDP are listed as active licensed users in Parallels RAS and count against the license limit, even though they never use the Parallels Client.

My question is:
Has anyone successfully implemented a supported configuration where:
•only a small subset of users access the server through Parallels RAS,
•the remaining users continue using native Microsoft RDP,
•and only the Parallels users consume RAS licenses?

Are there any recommended architectures, policies, agent settings, publishing methods, or licensing options for this scenario?
Or is a separate RD Session Host required for Parallels users?
I would be very interested in hearing how others have solved this in production environments.

Thank you!
