Hi guys!
We are using IGEL OS 12 devices, which are central managed through the IGEL UMS. Since IGEL UMS version 12, the clients, such as Paralles or Citrix, are no longer within the core OS stack, but now they have to be imported as apps. In this way there is also a Parallels Client App.
But there is a big problem: You can configure the primary connection address in the configuration dialogue in the UMS and at the first startup after installation, this address will be there. After the first login to the Parallels RAS Server (21.2) with this app, a policy (if you have any - I have) will be execute. From this moment on, you have no chance anymore to change this address, see KB article https://kb.parallels.com/en/130995.
Unfortunately, in the policies of Parallels is no possibility to configure this value.
I built a workaround for this by adding a command line in the field "Final Desktop Command" in the configuration dialogue of the OS12 Basesystem. There I placed the follow command to substitute the theme string (that is in my case what I had to do):
sed -i 's|Theme dt:dt="string"/|Theme dt:dt="string"intern/Theme|g' /userhome/.config/2X/Client/default.2xc
This adds the string "intern" as Theme String into the configuration file.
Have anyone the same ore similar experience? Other suggests?
If anyone from the Parallels stuff is reading this: Please do it on your roadmap to implement this parameter into the RAS policies.
