    Crash log

    Stacey,

Though this isn't happening on my machine, we have several Macs running parallels in our office, so I know of at least three people that experience this issue periodically. I collected the crash log from the machine that crashed most recently. All of our machines are 2.4Ghz Mac Book Pros with 2GB of RAM, running Tiger 10.4.11 and Parallels build 3214.

This happened on my machine early on, but my copy of Parallels has been stable for nearly six months now. The only thing I've been able to come up with is that the users that are experiencing the crashes are avid Windows users, while the users that have not experienced the issue are avid Mac users. What I mean is that the people that experience the crashing are using Windows for everything, including IE (which I believe may be the suspect). I've been using Firefox on the Mac side, and I never surf the web on the Windows side. The other "avid Mac Users" do the same thing. Also, it seems me that the users having this trouble are have IE6, and have not upgraded to IE7. I'm conducting a little experiment. One of these users turned off active active script, and the other will install firefox tonight and use that instead of IE. If either of these options seems to resolve the issue, I'll post it here.

Meanwhile, please see the crash log attached.

    Thanks.

You need to update Parallels; build 4128 is a very old build which is almost certainly not Leopard compatible. There is a Parallels Desktop Leopard compatible update available at http://www.parallels.com/en/download/desktop/.
