Parallels Desktop for Mac computers with Apple M2 chips

About nested virtualization, Now we have an API, and by what I can see, M3 or late only... Anyway, there is already any roadmap on support?

Hi, I want to check Whether the software can support creating MacOS m1/m2/m3 VM on the macbook m2 host?
Yes, Parallels can do a virtual MacOS on Apple Solicon. But please be aware, that the virtual macOS and it's CPU are quite castrated. MacOS in a VM does not support iCould, GOU/ANE access, and several special CPU-features are also disabled. Parallels has recently added a better support for MacOS VMs - GUI-Configuration.

Does anyone else have audio crackling issues after waking up from sleep (MacOS host)? Clears up after about a minute

Hi, I've always wondered if the M2 chip or the later updates of Parallels Desktop could give the latest macOS the ability to run a Big Sur virtual machine. On macs with M1 chips, only macOS virtual machines after the Monterey version can be installed, not the previous version. Being able to run a Big Sur virtual machine on the latest macOS system has always been a feature I've been looking forward to the most, and I'm sure it's what many other users have been looking for, because only Big Sur has the ability to install ipa files (iOS apps) without restrictions.)

I'm still stuck on Big Sur and haven't updated to the latest macOS, just to keep using some handy iOS apps on my macbook. If the M2 chip or the latest parallel desktop allows to install a Big Sur virtual machine, I will upgrade my macOS to the latest immediately, because the new features brought by the latest system, like universal control, airplay to mac, live text, stage manager are also very attractive to me. Imagine how exciting it would be to install a Big Sur virtual machine running iOS apps on macOS Ventura via Parallels Desktop and be able to turn on Coherence mode at the same time.

Or conversely, is it possible that a future Parallels Desktop update will give Parallels Desktop installed on Big Sur the ability to install macOS Monterey or Ventura virtual machines?

If neither of these two ideas is possible, then is it just not feasible on a technical level, or if you guys think that there isn't exactly much business value relative to the engineering effort that is required

Having the same thoughts.

Hi, I have the latest version of Parallels on mac M2 air with 16 gb ram and latest OS update.

The screen flickering in browsers on my external monitor is driving me nuts.

I have tried changing cables/cords, settings on external monitor, changing various mac settings, downloading github apps that are supposed to help....all to no avail.

Hi there,
New here, if it's not the right forum sorry, thanks in advance for your help!

I have an issue with a program (TurboCad v28 - x64) so I thought I could get some help around here.
I'm using a MacBook Air 2023 with M2 chip, 16GB of RAM and Ventura 13.4.1.
I need this windows program, this is why for the moment I'm in trial period with Parallel Desktop 18.3.2 Pro Edition with windows 11, just to see that everything work (I have a PC but with this new mac I hoped I could solve everything with a virtual machine).
No issue with Parallels installation, everything super smooth.
I installed TurboCad but when I launch it, I get a "exception not handled, the program will close (it's in french so I'm guessing this is the right translation).
Any idea of where the issue comes from and how I could solve it?

Thanks again
Hi Studioe, did you get an answer to this? I am trying to run Turbocad 2024 on a MacBook M3 Max, and like you Turbocad installed flawlessly but has a critical error on starting

Hi everyone,

I have the Standard permanent license for version 18. After updating my two devices (Sequoia Beta 15 Release 6 but on other releases the same error has occurred), a Mac Mini and a MacBook Pro, with M2 chips, I could install and run Parallels on the Mac Mini without any issues. However, on the MacBook Pro, I couldn't. As soon as Parallels is installed and I try to run it, the crash occurs. I've tried troubleshooting steps from other forums, such as attempting to install via terminal and deactivating the license, but the same error persists. Has anyone experienced a similar situation and managed to resolve the issue?

Hi!
I have the same Problem, it seems that TurboCad does not run on Parallels (I get the Crash report "SigsegvHandler". If you could solve your problem, please let us know!

Good morning, I'm in the trial version just to try if I can play GTA5 on my macbook pro M2, but when I try to start the game a receive the error 0xc0000135.
Will I resolve this issue with the upgrade or not?

The answer from IMSI Design is "TurboCAD is not Compatible with ARM Based Processors."
I have now migrated away from TurboCAD to Vectorworks...a very expensive exercise and IMSI would not refund my 12 month subscription to TurboCAD...

i got a new Mac with the M2 chip and installed Parallels, discovering in the process that I also needed to install Windows 11. I followed the prompts and did the installation, but apparently the non-ARM version installed and I had to jump through other hoops to get a running version and to see the files that were on my Windows 10 hard drive. Now Windows is telling me that I don't have a registered version and parallels toolbox won't authenticate.

Is the Win 11 that installs via the Parallels installation not authorized? Do I need to buy a separate Win 11 license from MS?

Should I just blow away this (Win 11) virtual machine and start over?

The ARM version is the only version that will install on a Mac with an M2 chipset. You definitely have the ARM version of Windows 11 because that is the only version that Parallels will install on a Mac with M@. Is your Windows 10 machine now deleted (or non-operational?) and not connected to the same network your new machine is on?.

You can transfer the license from the Windows 10 installation. The Win11 version that Parallels installs is an official Microsoft Windows 11 Pro. You will need to purchase a new license if you don't have your Windows 10 license. (You did have Windows 10 Pro, correct?) If the Win10 version you had was the Home version, you're going to need to purchase a new license for the Pro version. Someone posted a site where you can purchase a license in one of the forums but I don't remember which one it was.

Should I just blow away this (Win 11) virtual machine and start over?
Welll, I do that all the time but then I beta test for a rather large (~25,000 users) and for some strange reason they want their in-hose software to work on MS Windows. If you have back-ups of your files, some spare time, a valid Windows PRO license and nothing to do for about 30 minutes, you can blow it away, but it sounds like you may have solved about 90% of your newbie problems already. Welome to the fun.

Hello.

I bought it and managed to run the game on my M2 MAX for 3 months. When updating to version 15 sequoia I can no longer run the game.

What has happened is that the client opens I get to the selection screen but after that the game, when Loading completes, parallels suspends.

Has anyone been through this and has a solution?

hi I need help, I register my activation key to a non existent email by mistake and now I can't access my subscription.
