Parallels Desktop and M1/M2 Ultra chips

  • cut/paste from the host OS
  • connect external drives
  • change window size
  • change network settings
  • ... and just about everything else you provide for other VM types (or previous MacOS VM support in Paralles 16.x)

MAC STUDIO M1 MAX.

I I stalled this on a trial and tested ubuntu arm and it appeared to work great with host networking as other options didn't work.
2 days into.ny testing and my Mac started dropping networking connections to parallel hosts, I couldn't ping locally bit the could ping out, needless to say this affected my tailscale xerotier layers, I uninstall parallels and my Mac on virtual networking is unpredictable with unexplained drop outs.

If anyone can shed some light on what I could provide further to explain this bug.

I am running Parallels Desktop 20 Pro Edition on a Mac Studio M1 Ultra (Ventura) with a number of Windows ARM VMs. All works fine.
I then wanted to install MacOS Sequoia in a VM to test its capabilities before I upgrade. The parallels Create New process runs to a point but then complains that it can't install this OS because my "Mac is equipped with the Apple M series chip and Parallels doesn't support this operating systems version and(or) architecture". That is a bit strange, since Parallels is running on the M1 architecture. Is there a way round this issue?

Ditto here, when I try to build the VM I get the same issue except it states that the installer is Intel ?!?!?
it isn't, it's both.
