Hello DanielM4,
We have made changes to the activation key. Please follow the instructions below:
1. Quit Parallels Desktop, then try to activate after launching it again.
2. If you are still unable to activate, Open Terminal on the Mac and execute this command: prlsrvctl activate-license-online

Hi, I'm having this same problem after temporarily using my hard disk in a different Mac for a few days (while Apple repaired my MacBook Pro). I got my MBP back from Apple today and put the hard disk back in, but I am unable to activate Parallels 11. It says it will deactivate it on the other computer, but it then it says maximum activations exceeded.
