Howdy- New Parallels user having difficulty with Windows install. installation begins fine, after the files the copy I receive the error "Windows cannot install required files error 0x80070570
The file may be corrupt or missing. Make sure all files required for installation are available and restart installation." If I allow the VM to reset I receive cmd prompt with "BOOTMGR is missing
Press Ctrl Alt Del to restart"
I've seen threads in other forum where this issue is addressed but no firm solutions. Of the popular solutions:
1) The .iso is corrupted- Image I burned from my retail windows 7 disk failed. I have tried multiple downloads of different windows 7 builds from microsoft\digital river, using different browsers. No joy. Downloaded the windows 8.1 preview via the parallels menu and I receive the same error.
2) Bad RAM on the actual machine- all Memtest pass.
3) Hard drive issues- Disk verifies. No errors
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a solution?
