Parallels 26 Standard: "run multiple VMs simultaneously"

Hi,

with the release of Parallels 26 I noticed that the comparison chart changed and now contains a line:
"Run multiple virtual machines (VMs) simultaneously"

Does this mean that the standard edition of Parallels 26 is not able to run multiple VMs at the same time anymore?

I've been using Parallels Standard since 2009, upgrading almost each year. I too just saw that with the latest Parallels 6, they actually **removed** the ability to run multiple VMs from the standard version. Furthermore, there's no option to upgrade from the previous standard to the "Pro" edition that is the minimum required now to run multiple VMs. Parallels only allows an upgrade to the Parallels 26 standard, so if I were to upgrade I'd loose a MAJOR feature.

On my end, I thus won't be upgrading - ever. If I'm ever forced to in a few years due to things not working anymore, as a matter of principle I'd be migrating to Fusion.

Even worse is the fact that this change isn't communicated as a big warning in the release notes. This made me hope that it is just inaccurate information in the marketing material but doesn't seem like it.

For me the subscription isn't a viable option so switching to an alternative seems to be the way going forward.

I queried this with Parallels and their feedback is:
"You should still be able to run multiple virtual machines with the Standard."
I've asked them to update their product pages to be more clear and have been advised:
"Please note that your feedback has already been shared with the concerned team."

Thank you for sharing this. I decided to just give it a try and can confirm that during my limited testing I didn't hit any obvious new limitations using Parallels Standard 26. I still wish they would communicate this in a better way.
