Parallels 20, what to expect

It's around this time of year that we might start looking forward to a new version of Parallels

Any word on what might be in store for Parallels v20 when it lands?
Incidentally, is there a beta program that is perhaps open to Pro subscribers?

I've been looking specifically for a beta program but have yet to locate anything, i don't suppose you can point me in the right direction?

Apologies, I clearly didn't read this properly

Checking their website or contacting support directly can provide the most current information on beta availability and upcoming features.

Not even a peep. I guess it could be any day now (historically releases are usually on a Monday or Tuesday) but who knows.
If it's not going to be any time soon, it would be nice to get some visibility

I'm a Pro subscriber and I have never been offered any technical previews, despite asking. I've been a Parallels user for 10 years now.
September 2, and still no update. They tried to bill me the other day. I'm holding back payment until there is a new version released or my grace period runs out. If still no new version by then, I'll just import into VMware and not renew at all I think, since VMware is free now.

It seems there is definitely a beta program, but it appears to be closed to the general public or otherwise by invitation only.

I guess we just wait in the dark for whatever comes out of the woodwork. Some type of communication in this respect would be helpful

Yeah it's posted on their blog now also.. not the features I was hoping to see but at least now we know

I really enjoy Parallels but would love to see more meaningful community engagement with regard to roadmap + previews

hey @TimK13 ,
can you share with us what features you expected to see in version 20?;)

@Mikhail Ushakov 'Expected' is a strong word, but without a steer from Parallels on upcoming features we can only guess/hope

I don't have anything to offer that hasn't already been suggested in these forums already
But it would be great to have more visibility from Parallels on what feature requests are under consideration, in development, in preview, or straight up never happening.

As an example... I quite like how GitKraken organise their feature requests with a mechanism for users to vote - it gives the developers (and other users) a transparent gauge on what is most important to the user base, while also indicating which of those features is under consideration or actively in development. They also publish a roadmap

With specific regard for Parallels features.. Personally I'd like to see a technical discussion on native support for DX12, Vulkan and OpenGL 4.6 - and if technologies such as MoltenVK/Zink and others can provide a path to allow any of these API's to be feasibly provided within Parallels (even if only as "experimental")

To me the most "important" is full Direct X 12 support for games. I currently have to have a subscription to Parallels and Windows 11 and an additional subscription to Crossover because of the four programs I "need" Windows for (Diablo IV, Diablo II Resurrected, Links 2003 Golf and Lotus Approach), two will run perfectly on Parallels/Windows 11 and the other two will run perfectly on Crossover. Would prefer only a single subscription (personal preference is Parallels/Windows11).
